David Thomas, MD
David Thomas is Chief of Infectious Diseases and the Stanhope Bayne-Jones Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His research is focused on hepatitis C virus (HCV). The interactions between HIV and HCV have been a special research and clinical emphasis. Dr. Thomas has served the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Association of Liver Disease, Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Conference on Retroviruses and Associated Infections, the American Association of Physicians and the associated biomedical journals in multiple leadership/editorial capacities. Dr. Thomas is a member of ASCI (2001), AAP (2011), and received the Society Citation Award from Infectious Diseases Association of America (2014).
