Thank you for considering GW's Office of Continuing Education in the Health Professions (CEHP) for accreditation of your CE activity.

The CEHP office provides only accreditation services for continuing education activities.

This includes:

  • Accreditation of the activity
  • Review of disclosure forms and mitigation of conflicts
  • Review and approval of marketing and educational materials
  • Access to the online evaluation and CME claim process
  • Provide an evaluation report to the Course Director
  • Issue CME certificates and certificates of attendance to participants
  • Report MOC participation to the ABIM
  • Provide a report of CME and MOC participation to the Course Director
  • Maintain accreditation files and attendance documentation for six years

Services we do not provide:

  • Event/meeting planning services and logistics coordination
  • Registration of learners
  • Budget and fiscal management
  • Faculty management
  • Marketing
  • Instructional design
  • Solicitation and management of commercial support or commercial exhibits for Joint Providers

Activity Approval Process and Timeline

  • Complete the CE Activity Planning Form - 120 days before the start date of the CE activity
  • Complete the CME Application - no less than 90 days prior to the start of the activity.
  • The CME application is reviewed  - decisions are usually provided within 3-5 business days but may take up to two weeks
  • Submit Post Activity Report and Close Out Materials - within 30 days after the activity
