Special Topics in Patient Navigation: Getting Paid for Patient Navigation
Welcome to "Getting Paid for Patient Navigation: What You Should Know About the 2024 Physician Payment Rule," part of the Special Topics in Patient Navigation series. This training, presented by Dr. Mandi Pratt-Chapman, Associate Center Director for Community Outreach, Engagement, and Equity at the GW Cancer Center, aims to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the new CMS guidelines and billing codes for patient navigation services effective January 1, 2024.
Understanding these new requirements is essential for ensuring that your patient navigation services are reimbursed correctly. This course provides the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the new CMS billing codes and requirements effectively, supporting you in providing high-quality care to your patients.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe new Principal Illness Navigation (PIN) requirements for Medicare reimbursement.
- Identify free resources to meet CMS billing requirements and set you up for success.
