Welcome to "Getting Paid for Patient Navigation: What You Should Know About the 2024 Physician Payment Rule," part of the Special Topics in Patient Navigation series. This training, presented by Dr. Mandi Pratt-Chapman, Associate Center Director for Community Outreach, Engagement, and Equity at the GW Cancer Center, aims to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the new CMS guidelines and billing codes for patient navigation services effective January 1, 2024.

Understanding these new requirements is essential for ensuring that your patient navigation services are reimbursed correctly. This course provides the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the new CMS billing codes and requirements effectively, supporting you in providing high-quality care to your patients.

To be awarded the 0.50 contact hours for this educational activity, learners are required to complete the following steps:

  2. Complete the pre-evaluation assessment prior to beginning the lesson.
  3. Complete the entire lesson content in full.
  4. Complete the post-lesson quiz and earn a passing score of 70% or higher. Note: You may retake the quiz up to 3 times in order to achieve a passing score.
  5. Complete and submit the post-evaluation assessment after finishing the quiz.
  6. Access and download your certificate of completion, which will serve as confirmation of the credits awarded.
