Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians (internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinologists, general medicine, and OB-GYN), pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals interested in learning about the advancements of preventative and anti-aging medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Examine the role hormones play in health across the lifespan both women and men
  • Review assessment and treatment of common gender-related conditions
  • Examine the evidence for risk and benefits of hormone management, mitigation of cancer risk, and alternative treatment options
  • Develop integrative treatment plans for women and men with respect to hormonal deficiencies and imbalances based on patient-centric, and culturally sensitive therapies
  • Review and apply nutritional features of insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes
  • Synthesize the physiologic components of the stress response and its role in common chronic conditions
  • Apply concepts of thyroid metabolism in energy balance and wellbeing
