Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians (internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinologists, general medicine, and OB-GYN), pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals interested in learning about the advancements of preventative and anti-aging medicine.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this module, the participants will:

  • Recall the role of testosterone in men’s health
  • Describe the pathophysiology of testosterone and its relationship to male hormones
  • List signs, symptoms, impacts and causes of testosterone deficiency
  • Explain the appropriate workup for suspected testosterone deficiency
  • List various options for testosterone replacement and appropriate monitoring
  • Apply the current guidelines and indications for testosterone replacement
  • Identify potential risks and adverse effects of testosterone replacement
  • Explain the relationship between testosterone and cardiovascular disease
