The 54th Costenbader Society Annual Meeting

Overview

The Costenbader Society, which is the Alumni Society of the Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Program at Children’s National Hospital and The George Washington University, will convene on the mornings of August 9 and 10, 2024, in Ottawa, Canada. The agenda includes the presentation of scientific papers and case reports, fostering ample discussion among peers in Pediatric Ophthalmology. Many of these peers are national and international leaders in the field. The meeting will also provide a platform for discussing new research and innovations, as well as clinical and surgical management modalities. There will be an exchange of insights and experiences, enriching the knowledge of all participants.

This activity is intended to meet the educational needs of the healthcare team including but not limited to:
 
  • Pediatric Ophthalmologists
  • Graduates of the Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Program at Children's National Hospital/The George Washington University)

Learning Objectives

 
After participating in this activity, learners will be able to:
 
  • Learn the new diagnostic (clinical and genetic) criteria and surgical management skills of pediatric cataract. Comprehend the new approaches to manage Strabismus in adults and children.
  • Understand the practice management and medicolegal issues facing the practice of Pediatric Ophthalmology and come up with strategies to resolve them.
