Sara Inati, MD
Dr. Sara Inati is a clinical epileptologist and is an Assistant Clinical Investigator in the NINDS Intramural Research Program in Bethesda, MD. She is board certified in Neurology with Added qualifications in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. She completed her neurology residency training as well as fellowship training in clinical epilepsy and neurophysiology at the Neurological Institute at Columbia University Medical Center. She joined NINDS in 2010 as a Staff Clinician and served as Chief of the EEG Section and Epilepsy Service until transitioning to her current position in 2021. She is Program Director of the NCC Epilepsy Fellowship Program at NIH and Assistant Program Director for the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program at NIH. Her current research interests are focused on improving our understanding of the pathophysiology of epilepsy, as well as advancing the evaluation and treatment of patients with drug resistant focal epilepsy, particularly through the use of multimodal neuroimaging and neurophysiological techniques to localize epileptic foci and understand seizure networks.
