Lesson 1: Defining HSR Problems and Research Questions
Within this module, you will be introduced to Health Services Research (HSR) from the perspective of the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), to 21st century priorities for HSR from NAM and Academy of Health. Additionally, you will be provided the knowledge and skills to assist you developing strong HSR questions.
Target Audience
This course is designed for healthcare providers including MD, PA, NP, nurses, rehabilitation specialists (OT, PT, SLP), public health professionals, pharmacists as well as researchers. In addition, students and community members who are interested in health services research are able to participate in this course.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Discuss Health Services Research (HSR) as a method of inquiry
- Define problems that HSR may explore
- Develop a strong HSR question
