Financial Navigation Training
Individuals who are diagnosed with cancer usually face high treatment costs. Financial navigation is an essential component of patient navigation that could help ensure patient-centered care. Unfortunately, many health care professionals do not feel comfortable asking patients about their financial challenges and they are not fully aware of available resources to support their patients' care.
This training describes current evidence on drivers of financial toxicity, shares mitigation strategies and resources that prepare and equip patient navigators to effectively address financial toxicity.
