At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:
1) Describe the study design: 4 arms (options: plasma exchange or not, standard or low dose steroids), randomized but non-blinded
2) Explain the plasma exchange treatment regimen and the endpoints of the study (death, end-stage renal disease)
3) Summarize that no statistical different was detected between patients treated with plasma exchange or not
