Women's Health Summit
The primary healthcare system often falls short in meeting the physical, behavioral, and social needs of women due to various barriers, including gaps in medical training, biases, time constraints, and inadequate awareness of gender-specific health issues. Less than 30 percent of medical schools incorporate gender-specific topics in their curriculum, highlighting the need for comprehensive education on women’s health. The summit aims to bridge these gaps, providing healthcare practitioners with the knowledge and tools to address women’s diverse needs. Speakers will cover a range of topics critical to women’s health, including contraception and fertility to cardiovascular risk, cancer, skin health, pain management, mental health, and more.
