Learning Objectives:
1. Review the pathophysiology, evaluation, and diagnosis of stress urinary
incontinence (SUI) in pregnancy and postpartum
2. Compare early interventions and management options for SUI in pregnant
and postpartum patients
3. Apply screening processes and early interventions for SUI in this patient
population in clinical practice utilizing evidence-based guidelines
4. Assess the impact that mode of delivery has on SUI symptoms
5. Identify areas for future research regarding outcomes and disparities in
SUI research in the peripartum period
