Monthly Health Policy Journal Club will discuss detailed health policy topics each month. Each topic will include discussion of 3-4 journal club articles with a deep dive evaluating a health policy topic in detail. This will be a web-based live linkage with GW faculty in monthly 90 minute learning sessions for deep dive explorations of health policy topics and discussion of related policy articles. Initial sessions of our virtual health policy fellowship will train participants how to evaluate and translate policy manuscripts to colleagues and lay audiences. As part of this training, we will conduct a workshop that focuses on policy writing for academic and mainstream media. Subsequent sessions will be in a journal club format that will offer individuals an opportunity to generate ideas for joint collaboration. At the end of each session, we will brainstorm action items, including potential educational output such as grand rounds at home institutions, manuscripts, and opinion editorial pieces.
