The New Era of Personalized Preventive Cardiology:  From LDL cholesterol and Lipoprotein(a) lowering therapies to treating cardiometabolic risk. 

Objectives:

  1. Understand how atherosclerosis imaging can be used for risk assessment, as well as for identifying treatment intensity.

  2. Learn the clinical implications of having elevated Lp(a). 

  3. Become familiar with how to manage patients who present with elevated Lp(a), as well as the potential future role of various pharmacological therapies that are currently under investigation.

  4. Identify the emerging role of PCSK9 inhibitors and GLP1 receptor agonist therapies in cardiovascular disease prevention.
