Medicine Grand Rounds feature weekly topic and case-based presentations designed to provide faculty and trainees with up-to-date knowledge about timely issues in internal medicine.
 
Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the principles of studying seizure semiology in patients with epilepsy and its significance in inferring cortical localization.

2. Differentiate between the cortical focus and cortical network views in interpreting seizure semiology and their implications in epilepsy research and clinical practice.

3. Identify and describe various seizure manifestations, including sensory, motor seizures, impaired consciousness, automatisms, and their relevance in understanding the underlying cortical localization.

4. Recognize the importance of health equity in epilepsy research and clinical practice, and identify strategies to address disparities in access to diagnostic tools, treatment options, and healthcare resources for patients with diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic status.
