Medicine Grand Rounds feature weekly topic and case-based presentations designed to provide faculty and trainees with up-to-date knowledge about timely issues in internal medicine.
 
 
Learning Objectives: 

1. Evaluate published clinical outcomes of home hemodialysis compared to in-center hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation

2. Describe the technical differences between home and in-center hemodialysis machines, urea kinetics, and prescriptions.

3. Identify utilization barriers to home hemodialysis, with a focus on financial barriers and disparities in home hemodialysis utilization, and to describe efforts to increase home hemodialysis uptake
