Pediatrics Reimagined: Transforming Care, Empowering Futures

September 17, 2026 to September 19, 2026

The activity is designed to address the clinical reality that pediatric providers are seeing more complex presentations involving chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, allergic disease, neurodevelopmental concerns, mental health symptoms, environmental exposures, microbiome disruption, and immune dysregulation. There is a professional practice gap between the complex, multisystem pediatric concerns clinicians increasingly encounter and the practical, evidence-informed frameworks available to evaluate and manage those concerns in routine care. Learners need education that helps them connect immunometabolism, environmental exposures, microbiome-immune signaling, neurodevelopmental symptoms, allergic disease, metabolic dysfunction, and precision medicine tools in a clinically responsible way. The activity will address this gap through expert-led education, case-relevant frameworks, and facilitated Q&A focused on translating emerging pediatric science into practical, age-appropriate, whole-child care strategies. The schedule combines didactic lectures, expert panels, and Q&A opportunities, allowing faculty to present evidence, clarify clinical controversies, and translate emerging concepts into real-world pediatric decision-making.

Target Audience

This course is designed for Pediatricians, family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, physician associates, and other healthcare professionals who care for children and adolescents through an integrative, functional, and whole-child lens.

Learning Objectives

  • Analyze the interconnections between nutrition, insulin signaling, inflammation, and mitochondrial function to develop comprehensive care plans for pediatric patients presenting with metabolic dysfunction, obesity, and fatty liver risk.
  • Implement structured environmental exposure screening protocols in pediatric practice to identify and prioritize common exposure risks, and develop age-appropriate, family-centered counseling strategies that connect environmental mitigation to improved health outcomes.
  • Evaluate pediatric patients with complex neurodevelopmental and mental health presentations using integrative assessment frameworks that incorporate conventional standards with biologic, environmental, infectious, inflammatory, and trauma-informed considerations, and formulate appropriate, evidence-based care plans with coordinated referral pathways.
