Learning Objectives:  

  • Understand the effects of gender affirming hormone therapy on menstruation and potential impact on future fertility.
  • Review counseling/recommendations for fertility preservation before transitioning

  • Review studies evaluating the success of fertility treatments in patients with a hx of testosterone use.
  • Consider the implications of discontinuing hormone therapy for fertility treatment and how this may impact gender dysphoria.
