Clinical Management of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome
Overview
This is the first comprehensive educational module offered by two of the world’s experts on Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome and exposure to Water Damaged Buildings. Drs. Heyman and Shoemaker have created a self paced online course designed for the health professional seeking proficiency and certification in treating Biotoxin Illness, including comprehensive management of the CIRS patient.
Up to 20% of the US population is vulnerable to biotoxin exposures, leading to chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, neuroinflammatory related disorders, cardiopulmonary problems, gastrointestinal dysfunction, and immune impairment. Every Primary Care provider, and Functional and Integrative practitioner must know how to treat this condition since it is so common, and often underlies hormonal imbalances, ‘leaky gut,’ mood and memory problems, weight gain and so many other complaints. Clinical review of difficult cases, special populations, and the role of transcriptomics in guiding care will be synthesized over the final weeks to ensure competency with complex patients. Students will synthesize content offered through video and written format, case analysis, literature reviews and multiple choice testing. This is a graduate level program designed to teach you how to manage some of the most complex patients.
