Biography:
Dr. Fabio Roberti is a Board Certified Neurosurgeon who specializes in Minimally Invasive cranial and spinal Neurosurgery, Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery and Neuro-Oncology.
Dr. Roberti re-joined The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates in June 2020 as Director of Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery and Professor of Neurological Surgery. He also serves as Director of the H. Ammerman Microsurgical Laboratory.
Before returning to Washington, DC, he worked for the Cleveland Clinic Florida organization where he led a Center of Neurosciences. He also served as Chief of Neurosurgery and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Indian River Medical Center, where he established a Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery program for the treatment of adult cranial and spinal conditions.
Dr. Roberti graduated Summa Cum Laude from one of the world’s oldest Medical Colleges, the University of Modena School of Medicine in Italy, where he also completed a Neurosurgery Residency and practiced as Attending Neurosurgeon. He also completed a General Surgery Internship, a Neurosurgery Residency as well as a Fellowship in Cranial base surgery and Micro-neurosurgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. At The George Washington University, he also served as Co-Director of the Endoscopic Pituitary and Skull Base Surgery program.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, author and reviewer for many scientific publications and Journals, he holds membership to many medical organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Skull Base Society, the North American Spine Society and the Florida Neurosurgical Society.
