Health care thought leaders outline a radical redesign for health care
 
Join us online for the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences' 4th Annual Patrick & Marguerite Sung Symposium: Whole Health & Wellness from 1 pm to 5 pm ET on Friday, April 23, 2021.  Organized by the GW Office of Integrative Medicine & Health, this virtual event is free and open to the public but there is a $25 fee for those who wish to claim CME or CPE.  This learning opportunity awards 4.0 CME Credits to physicians and 4.0 Contact Hours to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who complete the educational activity. All other participants should receive a certificate of completion.
 
The speakers will be health care thought leaders Hélène Langevin, MD, director of the National Center for Complementary & Integrative Health at the National Institutes of Health; Tracy Gaudet, MD, executive director of Whole Health Institute; Wayne Jonas, MD, executive director of Samueli Integrative Health Programs: and Jehan El-Bayoumi, MD, professor of Medicine at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences, and founding director of GW's Rodham Institute. 
 
Presentation topics include: Healing in the Time of COVID (Dr. Jonas); The Radical Redesign of Healthcare: The Why, What and How (Dr. Gaudet); The Future of Medicine for All (Dr. El-Bayoumi); and NCCIH Strategic Priorities on Whole Person Health (Dr. Langevin).
The lectures will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A. 

Target Audience

Health professionals and health care consumers. The health professionals will include physicians, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, nurses, health coaches, NDs, and complementary and alternative medicine practitioners.

ACPE AND NABP POLICY

Effective May 1, 2014
 
ACPE and NABP will no longer allow ACPE-accredited CE providers to issue statements of credit directly to participants. CE credit may only be awarded via CPE Monitor. Participants may print a copy of their certificate of attendance for their records. However, official Statements of Credit must be obtained from CPE Monitor.
 
CE credits must be submitted to CPE Monitor within 60 days of completing a CE activity. No credits will be accepted by CPE Monitor after this deadline.

To comply with the CPE Monitor 60-day rule, it is GW’s policy that CE requirements be completed within 30 days of an activity. To ensure an on-time submission to your CPE Monitor account, please complete the evaluation within 30 days of the activity.
