Thank you for your interest in planning a CME activity with GW's Office of Continuing Education in the Health Professions (CEHP).
As an accredited provider of Continuing Medical Education, CEHP must ensure that all accredited activities adhere to the standards and policies developed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
In order to allow enough time for planning and documentation, as well as promotion of the activity, it is requested that materials be submitted to the CEHP at least 90 days prior to the activity.
CME Activity Approval Process
Step 1: The first step in planning a CME activity is to complete and submit the CME Planning Form.
Step 2: Planners identified through the Planning Form will receive an email with instructions to complete the online Disclosure Form.
Step 3: Once all disclosure forms are complete, the Course Director will receive instructions to review and resolve conflicts, if any, for the Planning Committee members.
Step 4: Once you have been notified by CEHP that the disclosure resolution process is complete, you will be instructed to complete the CME Activity Application.

- You can expect to receive notification of your accreditation decision within 20 days after the receipt of your complete CME application.
Step 5: Schedule an initial planning meeting/discussion with CEHP to discuss accreditation and additional services CEHP offers.
