At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:
1) Describe pathophysiology and presentation of stiff person syndrome. Provide ASFA category indication level for treatment.
2) Describe single-institution experience with 10 patients who received apheresis after failing first-line treatment. Note that 5 had DM.
3) Summarize apheresis treatment course and effectiveness. One patient received up to 104 exchanges.
